Page Content Disaster Financial Assistance Program
Assistance is available to qualifying homeowners, residential tenants (renters), small businesses, farm owners, charital organizations and local government bodies that incurred more than $1,000 of uninsurable damage during a major emergency.
Assistance is limited to providing 80 percent of allowable items that are considered essential to a home, livelihood or community service, for the portion of the claim that exceeds $1,000.
To apply for financial assistance, individuals must complete and return an Application for Disaster Financial Assistance. Application forms are available from the Provincial Emergency Program (PEP) web site at:
