"Film Friendly"

The Fraser Valley Regional District has much to offer for filming. The  varied landscapes and unique towns provide endless possibilities which have been utilized well in the past. The benefits of filming in the Fraser Valley Regional District are many including low fees, affordable accommodation and ease of travel. Much of the Fraser Valley Regional District is within one - two hours drive from Vancouver. Numerous towns provide lodging, food and other services close to filming locations. It is our intent to attract film companies with the understanding that there are benefits to our Region and the various communities that make up the Fraser Valley Regional District.

The Fraser Valley Film Cooperative

The Fraser Valley Film Cooperative consists of representatives from each municipality in the Fraser Valley Regional District as well as members from the Ministry of Transportation,  Ministry of Agriculture and Lands and First Nations. Together, this group works to assist productions locate and secure suitable filming locations.

The Fraser Valley Regional District has developed an application and approval process to assist various forms of film requests. Fees are negotiable depending on the size and scope of the production.
