Island 22 Regional Park
Home > Services > Parks & Trails > Explore our Parks > Island 22 Regional Park

Island 22 Regional Park is a 132 hectare park in Chilliwack featuring equestrian and boat launch facilities, as well as walking trails, an off-leash dog park and a bike skills park.

Equestrian facilities include jumps, riding ring, trails and corrals. Several equestrian events take place annually at the park. Click here to view upcoming equestrian events.

The Island 22 boat launch is one of the largest in the Lower Mainland.  It can accommodate over one dozen simultaneous launchings, and can park approximately 100 trucks and trailers. This launch is located on the Fraser River 15 minutes from the mouth of the Harrison River.

Island 22 walking trails offer many nature viewing opportunities.  An incredible number of migratory birds move through the park in the late summer. Many bald eagles perch in the park's trees during the winter months. Often, one can spot a harbour seal swimming in the river and if very lucky, see a white sturgeon jump.

The large designated dog off-leash area allows dogs to run and play with more freedom in a fenced area of the park.

The bike park was completed in November 2012.  It is a world class bike park attracting riders from around the lower mainland.  To maintain this top notch facility and protect riders from injury, the bike park will only be open during optimum weather conditions.  The bike park's current operational status is posted in the sidebar on the right.

Amenities include boat launch, large parking area for trucks and trailers, bike skills park, dog off-leash area, equestrian facilities, and a gatehouse that is staffed during the summer months.
