The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) provides a variety of emergency preparedness and response services. 

Please explore this section of the FVRD site for information about how you can prepare yourself and help equip your community for a quick and positive response in the face of natural or man-made disasters.

Disaster Financial Assistance Program

Assistance is available to qualifying homeowners, residential tenants (renters), small businesses, farm owners, charital organizations and local government bodies that incurred more than $1,000 of uninsurable damage during the period May 29 - June 15, 2007.

Assistance is limited to providing 80 percent of allowable items that are considered essential to a home, livelihood or community service, for the portion of the claim that exceeds $1,000.

To apply for financial assistance, individuals must complete and return an Application for Disaster Financial Assistance.  Application forms are available from the Provincial Emergency Program (PEP) web site at:

or from Government Agent Offices, most local government offices, PEP Regional Offices or by calling the PEP Recovery Office in Victoria at  1 - 888 - 257 - 4777

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible BUT NO LATER than September 11, 2007 to:
